BC Liberal Convention

The party convention takes place from Friday, June 10 to Sunday, June 12 at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre.

Having previously co-chaired our 2016 convention, Puneet brings experience to the role. A lawyer, mother, and former BC Liberal candidate (2017), Puneet is excited to help make this convention our best yet.
 
Niall Paltiel
Niall Paltiel is serving in his second term as a municipal councilor in Central Saanich. Arlene Dickinson
Serial Entrepreneur and General Partner of District Ventures Capital

 

Arlene Dickinson is a serial entrepreneur and General Partner of District Ventures Capital, a venture capital fund focused on helping market, fund and grow entrepreneurs and their companies, in the food and health space.

She is a three-time best-selling author, podcaster and accomplished public speaker. Dickinson is widely recognized for her role as a Dragon/Venture Capitalist for over 12 seasons on the multi-award-winning CBC television series, Dragons Den.

Ms. Dickinson’s leadership has been recognized many times, including Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Hall of Fame, the Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, as well as PROFIT and Chatelaine’s Top 100 Women Business Owners. She is a Marketing Hall of Legends inductee and a proud recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award. Dickinson has served for many years as an Honourary Captain in the Royal Canadian Navy.

She sits on several public and private boards and is actively involved in supporting community and country.

 
 
Angus Reid
Grey Cup Champion, CFL All-Star, 5-time BC Lions Team Captain

Angus recently retired from professional football after playing 13 years for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. The Richmond born native who went to Vancouver College before attending Simon Fraser University played in 200 professional games placing him in the top 5 all-time for games played by a BC Lion. Throughout his career, Angus has been a 3-time all-star, 2-time Grey Cup Champion, and 5-time team captain.

Today, Angus travels North America speaking with companies, schools, and teams about what it really takes to make it and win. He has done two successful TEDx talks, “Why We Need High School Football” and “Mastering the Skill of Trust” which have garnered him both praise and respect and has just recently released his first book – Thank You, Coach – which immediately became an Amazon bestseller.
